Graduation Rehearsal and Awards Assembly – Friday, June 5, AHS Auditorium, 8:00am

Graduation – Saturday, June 6, Astoria High School Gymnasium, 4:00 pm
All graduating seniors will report to the first floor of the classroom building by 3:15 pm with their caps and IRONED gowns. If a family member of a graduate requires special seating (space for a wheelchair, seating near an exit, etc.), please contact Emily Delay in the main office to make this arrangement (503-325-3911). Admittance to the graduation ceremony does not require a ticket, however seating is first come first served. The gym doors will open at 2:30 pm. Following the graduation ceremony, diplomas will be handed out in room 108 as seniors turn in their gown (caps, stoles and tassels are kept by graduates).
Please note: In past years at AHS, seniors have celebrated their graduation by spraying silly string into the air before exiting the gymnasium. The accelerant in the silly string caused extreme health concerns for many of our guests, some requiring medical attention following the graduation ceremony. The senior class has been asked to find an alternate form of celebration. Please support us in this endeavor and do not purchase silly string for your graduate.
Please feel free to call the AHS Counseling Office if you have any questions regarding these graduation activities. We look forward to celebrating the success of your child with you!
